BSB in Toronto
I know the title doesn't make sense now, but it will by the time you finish reading all three parts. Our BSB adventure began on Tuesday, March 14th. We got up early -- we were just too excited to sleep -- and began our BSB search. It didn't take long before we tracked down the hotel they were staying at. I called and booked us a room for two nights. $235 a night people and that was a special promotion. The actual price was $335. Eeek!!!! That about shot our budget. They were staying in an area of Toronto referred to as Yorkville, or, in my terms, Land of the Filthy Rich. We left Jenn's house and got our asses to the hotel. We didn't have any BSB sightings that afternoon. All was quiet so we just planned our trip to Hamilton that evening. We didn't have tickets, but we were determined (and brave, as we were told by two fans who were on the same bus as us to Hammy). When we were leaving for Hammy, we rode the elevators with some TALL dudes who said Hi to us. They were players from the Golden State Warriors. Jenn found this exciting. I had no clue who they were. We got there and scouted out scalpers. One dude tried to sell us 200 level tickets as floor. I told him, "Those are 200 level and the "F" means "front" not floor." I felt sorry for whoever might have bought them and been duped by this jerk. We finally found a guy with actual floor seats -- 6th row baby! He wanted $250 each. I said $200, he said $225, Jenn said $210 and they were sold. We were so excited! When we found our seats, we were freaking at how close to the stage we actually were. The concert started and the guys flew out of the box, which was right behind our section. I couldn't believe how low they were. If I would've stood on my chair, I could've touched them. I looked up and waved to Nick, and his head turned my way, but since he had that helmet on, I couldn't see if he saw me. He wasn't waving to the fans though. Brian was right behind him so I waved to him and he smiled at me (what a cute smile...too bad it's the only time I was gonna see his smile in three days) and waved to me. I had a Brian moment. LOL. The show was AWESOME!! Even better for me cause Nick was on our side all night. I was in total Nick heaven. Jenn's an AJ/Nick/Kevin girl so she didn't mind, but she kinda wished she saw more of Kev. I think I only saw him twice unless it was a group dance. Nicky and AJ did their thrusting dance during QPG. OMG! Seeing Nick's ass moving back and forth like that sent me into cardiac arrest. Can that ass get any finer? I'm willing to bet I can bounce a quarter off that baby! We had Howie on the pole and Brian flew over us. Nick's pole was at an angle so I got to him on it. He about killed me when he rubbed his ass up and down the pole slowly, licking his lips, eyes closed -- like he was in ecstasy. *leak* Talk about needing a change of undies. I love the new grey pin-striped suits. Very dapper. I waved to Nick during the ballads and we made eye contact. AHHH! He was very much into NOECC -- arms and legs flailing all over the place. Too cute! I also loved the ad-libbing he did in SE and SMTM. I finally saw him Salsa with Nikki. It was soooo good! Oh yea, and the other boys...they were looking good, too. Honestly I didn't take much notice of them unless Nick was out of my range of vision. I know, I suck. Nick on the drums was just...I can't even find the word. I LOVE drummers in general so seeing my baby on them...well I was just the happiest and probably horniest camper alive. Jenn was lovin' Kevin's hair slicked back. No more Monchichi 'do, thank the Lord. Kid Nicky was definitely at attention for part of the show and even Little D was pokin' around. ;o) Wait, what the hell was I doing looking at Little D? Ok, I'll admit, Howie's been looking good. To quote my bud Jill, he's moving up on the food chain. After that terrific concert, we were pumped and ready to see some BSBs. We got back to the hotel around midnight, ate, and decided we needed booze. We made our way down to the hotel bar, only to be told by the evening manager (which we later named Anal-Rententive #2) that the bar was closed to the public. AR #2 also looked frighteningly like what Brian might look like in about 10 years. When Jenn asked why, he said that the Backstreet Boys bought out the bar. We were pissed. Jenn's theme began "I just want a freakin' drink!!" We stayed put along with about 20 other fans and just chatted with everyone. The rumors you hear when standing among fans is just too much. First there's the fact that Melodie, the blonde dancer, is AJ's new GF. Yea right. Then it's about Leighanne. Did you know she's 35 and not 30? Yea, oook. Oh yea, and the hoochies going in and out of the bar. I called them the "Flavors of the Day." What were they all about? Ugh! Some girls got to go in and came out saying that AJ was plastered. What a hangover this guy must of had the next day. We saw Tommy, Guy, some bodyguards, and Melodie go into the bar. You had to be on AJ's guest list to get in and he was the only BSB in there. We walked around outside so we could try and look inside and see AJ, but he wasn't around a window. Jenn saw his arm a few times. She wanted me to make sure I mentioned this thrill. LOL. Around 2:30am, Howie walked past us and went into the bar. Some fans called out Hi to him and he didn't ackowledge anyone. He just looked straight ahead. I was like "Oook." Howie and AJ ended up sneaking out of the bar so we just went up to bed around 4-ish. Click here for Day II of our adventure. |
