Scandals, Drugs, Alcohol - after five years in showbiz full of revel, the backstreet boys needed a break. But the most successful boyband of all times is now back on stage. BRAVO will even bring them to Germany in October. How Brian Littrell (30), Kevin Richardson (33), Howie Dorough (32), Nick Carter (25) and AJ McLean (27) take their chances for a successful comeback or if they're afraid of losing the hard play of their career - they're talking about all that exclusive in BRAVO! Funnie: The interview took place in the Hilton Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona - one of the hotels that Paris Hilton (24), Nicks Ex-girlfriend - is going to inherit one day! Although Nick never again wanted to be related to her in any way.

You chose this hotel for your stop during your "Never Gone" Tour. On purpose?
Nick: No. But I don't mind staying in a Hilton hotel anymore. Life goes on without Paris for me - I failed on her and hope she will be happy with her new lover Paris Latsis.

But you still seem to be unhappy. You can tell, even on stage.
Nick: Because I still want a real relationship. I'm weak when it comes to women. I can't live with or without them.

And you've got a lot of temptations on tour - a lot of girls, drinks and parties!
AJ: Right. But I'm finally sober now! When all the others go partying, I go on my hotelroom and watch tv. Back in the days I used to need people around me, but I now like being alone from time to time.

Do you really never go partying anymore?

AJ: I do now and then. But I don't get nervouse or get wet hands anymore, when I see other people drinking. When I took drugs I never couldn't remember, what happened the last night. I use to drink coke light or energy-drinks now.

Are you still afraid of start drinking again?

AJ: I don't think about that at all. Every new day is a new start for me. And I struggle with a whole different thing right now.

What thing?

AJ: I never can say NO! If someone has a problem, I promise to help him - but don't have time to at all. And of course the people feel bad about it. I just have to learn to say NO!

Can you generally say NO when the tour gets to exhausting for you?

Kevin: I can! Because I can't come down quickly after a show. I use to sit in my tourbus, watch tv, play videogames or just eat whatever I can find. But I can't sleep.

You're really looking a bit tired.

Kevin: ... of course, when you can't sleep at night and have a lot of appointments the next day ... But now that my wife Kristin is with me on tour, it's getting better. I do a lot more sports, eat more healthy food and get more sleep because of that.

Because of your wife you can better handle the stress of the tour? Are you all supported by your families like that?

Howie: My biggest support used to be my sister Caroline. Seven years ago she died of Lupus - I never got over her death, because we were very close. That's why it's hard for me to really enjoy something or to look foward to history. But the tour distracts me from all that. And the Lupus-Foundation I established comforts me.

That sounds sad. What comforts you, the other guys?

Brian: My wife Leighanne and my son Baylee. I'm always in a good mood, when they're around. I use to lose my mind, when I'm alone and use to irritate the other guys then!

Is this why you all have your individual tour-buses?

Nick: Yes. Everyone has his own space and we don't get on our nerves so quickly ... (grin) Kevin: ... and don't go crazy (laughs)

AJ: We're every morning happy to see eachother (laughs)

Brian: And the best thing is, that our Families and friends can visit us everytime: Nick has his buddies with him, AJ his mom, Kevin his wife, Howie his girlfriend and his sister Pollyanna and I have my family with me.

Howie: Everyone has a bit home with him on this tour.
