I've loved the boys for about 8/9 years now.I watch them whenever I can on the telly. I have a 6 hour tape that I keep and watch when I'm the only one at home. Nick is my favourite and Kevin a close second-not that I'd turn any of them out of bed for eating crackers. Maybe I'd best not go there, but you know what I mean ladies. I think it's the sight of that fine ghetto booty that does it for me every time. I love the music. It never fails to lift me when I'm down. It's so bad that I slipped the new cd into the shopping trolley so that no one would see me by it. Am I ashamed of my obsession? Hell no! KTBSPA!

My 33 year old niece and I never had anything in common until Christmas 2000. I was over at my sister's house and Kassandra (my niece) was in the den with her cousins listening to some music and playing trivia games. I went to fetch them for supper and heard The Call. I blurted out, 'That's one of my favorite songs off the album!' Kassie was stunned because she didn't know I was a fan. No one knew as I was a closet fan. Not anymore! We spent the rest of the evening talking about the Boys, much to the dismay of our families. LOL! She loves AJ and I love Nick. He's young enough to be my son (don't say grandson!) and Kassie teases me about it, but it's all in good fun. We even attended two of their local Black and Blue concerts together. It was an amazing experience and Kassie and I are now very close. I have two sons (who are not fans...pooh!) so this is Backstreet's way of giving me the daughter I never had. How blessed they've made us! KTBSPA forever!

I've been a fan for several years now, but recently it's blown up into a major passion for the boys! I have been scouring the web for pics, info, and fanfics and found this site! I've had an ongoing problem with depression and the music these talented young men make always raises my spirits. Brian was and is one of my faves from the beginning... but I'm really drawn to AJ now. Thank you so much for giving us older fans a fun place to come and play and communicate!

I miss the Backstreet Boys. I got interested in them when I saw their Disney concert special on TV. I put it on mainly to keep my then 6 year old daughter entertained while I did something, but I got so caught up in it that I never got my work done. Something about them just drew me in. I've been to one concert on the B&B tour. I hope they record another album soon. They're voices are so wonderful and they put on the best shows. I don't really have a fave, but I tend to stare at Brian a lot. I adore his voice!

I became a fan when my daughter Nancy got into them. She's 16 and loves Brian to death. I prefer Howie. lol... They are great guys and I hope they get together and record another album soon. Voices like theirs deserve to be heard.

I am 49 and a grandmother already. I started playing BSB music for my granddaughter because it seemed to be the only thing that put her to sleep, according to my 26 year old daughter. The more I listened to them, the more I liked them. Then one day I went out and bought all their albums. My husband doesn't know about my *obsession* and I only listen to them when he isn't home. But they are wonderful men. I started surfing the Net looking for websites and just two weeks ago I did a search on Yahoo and stumbled across this mature site. It's the best thing since Kevin Richardson! LOLOL! Thanks for a great site and for giving us old fogies a place to drool and lust. I am a BSB fan forever!

I am a grandmother of two BSB fans. My granddaughter Aimee is 14 and my grandson Dylan is 12. My daughter had me take them to see BSB's Millenium tour that came to Milwaukee and I have to admit, I got hooked. I know I'm old enough to be Nick's grandmother, but there's something about these five men that drew me in. I own all the albums and whenever my husband is out of the house, I blast the albums while I clean the house. Ray (hubby) doesn't mind my interest, but he draws the line at the blasting music. He likes jazz and blues. I took Aimee and Dylan to see the Black and Blue concert last August and it was very special because of AJ's rehab and all. Aimee and Dylan love Nick and me? Well, let's just say if I was 26 years younger, a certain Mr. Richardson would be in big trouble. LOL! Thank you for an awesome BSB site!

I absolutely love the Backstreet Boys. Their music lifts my heart every day. I have a secret, I wish I were their mother. I consider them sweet boys with great personalities, good looks, wonderful voices, and something else "they remember their fans." I will always be a fan of the boys no matter how old I am. If my five special boys happen to read this, "I LOVE YOU."

I'm ashamed to say that I'm a closet Backstreet fan and have been for two years now. My hubby and kids don't know. I've been to two concerts (one Millennium and one Black and Blue) and I lied to my family about where I was. I live in the south and my family is very strict and old-fashioned. If they knew that a woman who's almost old enough to be Nick's grandmother loved these young guys, I'd never hear the end of it. My hubby hates all boybands and any music that's not Christian so I have to surf the Net when he's at work. I come to this site a few times a week and it's definitey my "haven." Perfect word, Maria. Thanks for keeping me posted. I can't really watch them on TV when the family's home so the captures you post give me a sense of seeing them. Thanks for a great site.

I'm probably one of the oldest living BSB fans. Yikes. I don't know why I'm obsessed, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I am. It started when my hubby left me for a 30 year old. I was depressed and I kept hearing I'll Never Break your Heart on this adult contemporary station that I like. The more I heard it, the better I felt. Then I heard As Long As You Love Me. These were happy songs that made me feel as if there are men out there who would never do what the ex did to me. I went out and bought the CD and the rest is history. I've been to three concerts and I'm trying to turn my 19 yr old daughter into a fan, but she's into some weird music. I am a very proud much older fan.

I'm a mother of three kids ages 13, 16 and 20. My only daughter, who's 20, loves these guys and is the one that got me interested. At first (and I'm ashamed to say this) I was ashamed and was a closet fan, but little by little I weined myself out of the closet and now I don't care what others think. My sons and hubby are always badmouthing them, but we all know it's from jealousy. Hee! My daugher and I have been to four Orlando shows and planning on more this summer. I love these guys. My favourite is Brian.

I don't even think the guys' management knows that this is a state, but I don't care as long as their music reaches my ears. I have never heard a more beautiful sound and I am a fan of the Beatles and Elvis. But Backstreet is in the same category. They are so wonderfully talented and I am proud to call myself their fan.

My daughter, who's 17, and I love the BSB. She got me hooked after I took her to a concert in 1998. They are by far the most talented of any of the boybands out there today. They sing like angels and they aren't hard on the eyes either. A proud older fan from BC.

Trish's encounter inspired me to send this in. Actually seeing an older fan who looks to be around my age posing for photos with the boys makes me even more proud to be an older fan. I love this site, I love the Backstreet Boys, and I hope that thy stay around for years to come. Maria and Trish thank you.

It's great to see some many way older fans coming out of the closet. Especially those not shy to go meet the guys and get pix taken with them. I myself have never met them, but my 19 year old daughter Alexandria loves them and got a chance to meet Nick and Brian in NY last May 99. They are very sweet, talented guys and they make me proud to be a fan everyday.

Maria, Tyra, Jenn - three hard working individuals who brought us a great website for us old folks...lol...who love the BSB! I never knew that there were so many fans my age out there. After reading Trish's story the other day, I'm even prouder to be a fan because now I know that I can go out there too and meet the boys. Music and love has no age and I'm damn proud to be over 40 and a fan of this magnificient five-some. Thank you BSBAC for giving me the guts to come out of hiding. Always a fan!

I'm a devout Backstreet Boys fan. My 13-year-old daughter got me hooked on the boys in 1998. I love their music and GOD, are they GORGEOUS. Especially that Howie D ... oooh, if I could have my way with that bod ... sorry, getting carried away!! My kid is 15 now, and into more hard rock (teenagers, very fickle!!), although she still thinks A.J. is "cool." Now I'm the one buying all the posters and books and calendars and cd's and anxiously awaiting the Burger King promotion so I can get the little CyberHeroes action figures! The people I work with think I have digressed into puberty and I don't care. I play all my BSB CDs at work constantly and am proud to say I love the Boys. I'm not embarrassed at all when I hear their songs in the grocery store and start singing along. Sure, people stare ... but that's their problem. Thanks for writing your wonderful stories and hosting your terrific website. It's people like you who make websurving worthwhile!

Oh my! Feels good to see other "young" fans like myself talking about their love for those five, fine specimans referred to as Backstreet. I discovered them in Feb. 1999 while I was a stay at home mom with a newborn. My little one is still too young to appreciate BSB, but I play their CDs constantly, and by the time she's 2, she'll be hopping and bopping to BSB rock. These five men are so talented, it amazes me. I'm only glad for Lou Perlman for that one thing.. bringing them together. I'm an OLDER fan and damn proud of it!

I am 49 years. old, soon to be 50 in July 2000, and I am a huge BSB fan. I like all the boys. I think each and every one of them has more talent in their little fingers than 95% of all the acts out there today. But I am especially fascinated by the one and only AJ. I know I am old enough to be his Mama, but the voice, the moves, the eyes and SIGH the bare chest.....need I say more!! Seriously though, I think as an adult fan, I expect more from a singing group than nice butts and pretty faces. I look for talent that can span the years and I think BSB has that as a group and individually also. For instance, I am a big fan of Rick Springfield, and he has been in the business for 30 plus years and I am still a loyal fan. I hope our boys keep working hard and keep expanding their talents. I look forward to listening and looking for many years to come. Keep up the good work boys and Susie Q will love you forever!! Thank you Maria for a great web page. You are greatly appreciated!

Yes, I'm old. Well compared to the average BSB fan, I'm probably ancient. But that doesn't make me any less blind to the talent, charm, and uniqueness that is BSB. I don't have any daughters to share my joy with, but my 15 year old son Timmy likes them to a point. Although he will never admit it. My husband thinks I've regressed. But how can anyone, any age resist five talented, good looking guys? I am a secretary at a local law firm and I have a frame with an autograghed BSB photo that a daughter of a friend of mine was nice enough to have Kevin and AJ autograph for me when she met them. I'm very proud to be a Backstreet fan.

I am a 48-year-old BSB fan AND PROUD OF IT! I was the supposed stereotypical teen fan when the Beatles made their move. I was never a Beatles fan. Backstreet all the way. I was a fan first of their (BSB) music. My daughter would play her Backstreet Boys cd every morning while we were getting ready for school/work. We would always get through the first four songs and then she would leave. One day I snuck into her room (gasp!) and was fast-trackin' through the CD to see what else was on there and came upon "If You Want it to be Good." I was already hooked but those lyrics reeled me in. I loved the music but must admit I had a hard time looking at those youngish faces without nasty thoughts! Time has been an asset to them between Backstreet Boys and Millenium. I am so very impressed with their maturity in music, choreography, looks and approach to life. In the midst of all the fame and notoriety, they have the sanity to retain their playfulness and stay very grounded. All of that is why I am an adult fan and quite possibly why others are also fans. Oh, yes, the sex aspect does play into my fanaticism - they are all very easy on the eyes and can jumpstart an imagination! I do not believe this group is a passing phenomenon. I believe they have the skill and the following (yeah adult fans) to make this a long-term venture and I wish them all the success. Ride the wave! (I know, that's so 60s and Beach-Boyish!) KTBSPA!

I'm a 46 year old mother of two children, Amanda, 18 and Matthew, 14, who are both BSB fans and have turned me into one also. I took them both, along with a somewhat reluctant hubby, to see the boys last Fall and even my hubby admits that he enjoyed the show. I caught him singing to a couple of songs. Since then, both BSB albums are played in the house during supper. Matthew gets teased in school, but he stands up for the boys. I get teased also. My fellow nurses cannot fanthom my interest in what they call a kiddie group. They don't understand. Unless you own the CD or get to see these young men perform, you don't get the gist of their phenomenal talent and hard work. I appreciate them all the more for everything they do each day for their fans. They're exceptional young men and they defintely have a fan for life in this old broad. LOL. Oh and if Kevin ever reads this, you're the only man my hubby would let me have a one night stand with. LOL.

I'm 43 and I'm not ashamed to say I love the Backstreet Boys. I went to their shows in Anaheim and Los Angeles recently and was totally into their performance. They're so real, unique in their own right, and multi-talented. Whether they stay in this industry, raise a family, or milk cows the rest of their lives, there will always be something special about them that we as fans will never forget.
